Ryan Scott

Managing Director

  • "I am a professionally qualified Recruitment Director with over 20 years’ experience of leading teams in fast paced temp recruitment sectors. I co-founded S4S Team in February 2018 with the aim of making our company a leading example of how a dental agency can serve our clients and candidates in ways which benefit everyone. As well as managing the day to day endeavours of S4S Team, I specialise in further developing and growing our ethical and forward thinking business."

    Interests:

    My spare time is dedicated to spending quality time with my wife and 3 children and also coaching Dronfield Town FC Girls Under 10’s. Despite the old age I also play football regularly myself and I am a keen runner. As well as taking part in regular running events such as the Sheffield Half Marathon, I have also previously participated in white collar boxing events too! The shape of my nose is testament to this!

Marketing & People Engagement Director

Jen Upton

  • “I am the Marketing & People Engagement Director at S4S Team, where I lead our marketing strategies, brand presence, and people-focused initiatives. My role involves managing our social media campaigns, content creation, and engagement strategies to ensure S4S Team’s online presence is vibrant, dynamic, and reflective of who we are as a company.

    I have been part of S4S Team since 2019 and, prior to my current role, I spent 15 years as a dental nurse, gaining hands-on experience across various specialties. My background in dental nursing, combined with my Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) qualification from the Digital Marketing Institute, allows me to effectively connect with both dental professionals and practices through engaging marketing strategies.

    Beyond marketing, I am passionate about supporting our team of locum dental nurses. As the Well-Being Ambassador and a certified Mental Health First Aider, I lead initiatives to promote a positive and supportive work environment. I also organise company events, from team-building activities to social gatherings, ensuring our team stays connected and valued.

    Interests

    I love spending time with my Partner, our Son, Ted and our two dogs, Loki & Vin. I enjoy baking, travelling, going to the cinema, and exploring new places with family and friends.

Chloe Burton

Area Development Manager - Northern Region

  • “I am the Area Development Manager for S4S Team's Northern Region which covers West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire. My job role includes working closely with, and coordinating our highly trained and experienced team of nurses, as well as building valuable relationships with both our clients and nurses. I am the point of contact for all dental practices in need of locum support and dental nurses exploring locum opportunities in our Northern Region.

    Having worked as a Dental Nurse for 6+ years, with 1 of those working full time as a Locum Dental Nurse for S4S Team, I have a great understanding of the clinical, efficient, communicative and adaptable requirements of a Locum Dental Nurse, along with an in-depth understanding of the pressures of ensuring the day in a dental practice runs exceptionally well at all times.

    My clinical experience includes working in oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics and cosmetic treatments, some of which included high risk patients/ emergencies or difficult cases in the Oral Maxillofacial department.

    I absolutely love playing a big part in ensuring that practices and clinicians can continue caring for their patients without disruption or difficulty, with the help of our outstanding nurses and ease of booking with S4S Team.”

    Interests:

    “My favourite things to do include travelling, cooking, live music and building memories with my partner, family and friends. I also love a walk in the Peak District (followed by a pub lunch to end of course)"

Area Development Manager - Southern Region

Meg Marsden

  • “I am the Area Development Manager for S4S Team’s Southern Region which covers South Yorkshire, East and West Midlands. My role involves me working with dental practices in these areas to provide locum dental nursing support, coordinating our existing team of locum dental nurses and also being the point contact for new recruits looking to join our locum team.

    As well as previously working as a dental nurse in specialist areas such as implants, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and working as a Treatment Coordinator, I also worked for S4S Team as a locum dental nurse for 2 years. During this time I built strong working relationships with our existing clients and our locum dental nursing team members. These relationships and transferable skills really help to further build S4S Team’s client base and locum team in my area.”

    Interests:

    My spare time is usually spent with my fiancé and our cat Roley Poley. I enjoy travelling, music festivals in the UK and abroad, weekend walks and going swimming.

Kirsty Spencer

Operations & Accounts Manager

  • “I have a wide range of administration skills gained from 18 years’ experience working in Property sales, lettings and property management.

    I am a highly organised person with a great eye for detail. These attributes transfer very well into my role as Operations & Accounts Manager at S4S Team, where my duties include ensuring our new locum recruits are fully compliant, running our locum payroll and managing our online locum shift rota.”

    Interests:

    Spending time with my husband and 2 kids, baking, going to the cinema and trips to my favourite seaside place, Filey.

Stevie Gilberthorpe

Apprentice Recruitment Resourcer

  • I am an Apprentice Recruitment Resourcer at S4S Team, supporting the recruitment process by identifying and connecting with talented dental professionals. My role involves sourcing candidates, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and candidates. As I develop my skills within the role, I am also working towards my Level 3 Recruitment qualification, gaining hands-on experience in the industry.

    Although I had no prior experience in recruitment, I was drawn to this role because of its people-focused nature. I thrive in a team environment and genuinely enjoy engaging with new people—helping them find opportunities that align with their skills and aspirations. S4S Team’s welcoming and supportive atmosphere has made it the perfect place to learn and grow within the industry.

    Interests
    Outside of work, I have a huge passion for live music and love attending gigs and festivals whenever I get the chance. I’m also a film enthusiast and enjoy unwinding with a great movie. When I’m not at a concert or watching films, I love exploring the stunning landscapes of the Peak District, taking in the fresh air and scenic views. I also have a strong passion for travelling, always looking for new countries and cultures to experience.

Eddie Phillips

Apprentice Recruitment Resourcer

  • I am an Apprentice Recruitment Resourcer for S4S Team, supporting our Area Managers in coordinating the provision of highly skilled locum dental professionals across various locations. My role also involves sourcing and onboarding new candidates, ensuring they meet the high compliance standards that S4S Team prides itself on.

    After completing my A-levels in Photography, Psychology, and English Literature, I began searching for an apprenticeship that would allow me to make the most of my communication skills and passion for hands-on learning. S4S Team’s close-knit environment and emphasis on building strong client relationships felt like the perfect match. Alongside my role, I am also working towards my Level 3 Recruitment Consulting qualification, gaining invaluable experience in the world of recruitment.

    Interests
    Outside of work, I have a huge passion for music—I love going to festivals and concerts with my friends. I’m also a big fan of the outdoors, frequently hiking in the Peak District and Lake District, with a bit of climbing (and of course, a pub lunch to finish the day!). I’m a keen sportsman, playing for my local Sheffield 6-a-side football team, as well as staying active with gym sessions, running, and MMA training.
